In a small village, there lived a young potter named Ayaan. He was known for crafting the most beautiful clay pots in the market. Each pot was smooth, polished, and perfect.

One afternoon, while carrying a freshly baked pot to the marketplace, Ayaan stumbled. The pot slipped from his hands and hit the ground. It didn’t shatter but a long crack ran across its side.

Ayaan’s heart sank.
“This pot is ruined,” he whispered. “No one will buy it now.”

Ashamed, he placed the cracked pot in the darkest corner of his workshop. Days passed. New pots were made and sold. But the cracked one remained forgotten, collecting dust — just like the silent disappointments Ayaan carried inside himself.

One evening, a heavy storm struck the village. The power went out, and darkness swallowed every home. Ayaan lit a small oil lamp and placed it near the window. To shield the flame from the wind, he gently covered it with the cracked pot.

And then something magical happened.

The light from the lamp escaped through the crack — forming a thin golden line that glowed in the darkness. Patterns of warm light spilled onto the walls like dancing stars.

At that moment, Ayaan remembered a line he once heard:

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”

A neighbor passing by stopped in awe.
“What a beautiful lantern!” she exclaimed.

Soon others gathered. They didn’t see a broken pot.
They saw something unique.
Something radiant.

That night, Ayaan understood a truth deeper than clay and craft — the crack did not destroy the pot. It revealed its hidden beauty.

🌟 Moral

Sometimes our heartbreak, failure, rejection, or loss feels like a crack in our soul. We try to hide it. We feel ashamed of it.

But those very wounds become the openings through which wisdom, strength, compassion, and growth enter our lives.

We do not shine despite our wounds.
We shine because of them.
